ATLANTA – TireHub, the national tire distributor cofounded by Bridgestone Americas Inc. (Bridgestone) and The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (Goodyear), recently announced the relocation of two TireHub Logistics Centers (TLCs) in Houston, TX and Arlington, TX.

Now located on West Fuqua Street, the Houston TLC relocated from a smaller center to a bigger facility in order to serve more customers with a greater inventory. In the Dallas market, the Dallas location moved to East Arkansas Lane in Arlington to expand service to nearby customers in Fort Worth.

“We are navigating unprecedented times due to the current pandemic, and our customers need us more than ever. Establishing a greater presence in Houston and Arlington is another way we can support customers throughout Texas,” said Sylvia Wilks, vice president, operations. “Our hearts and minds are with the essential workers and all who need to reach their destinations safely to help serve their communities. So, with that in mind, we remain focused on meeting the needs of our customers wherever and however we can.”

TireHub launched in July 2018 and operates 71 logistics centers in the U.S. offering full passenger and light truck tire product lines from the Goodyear and Bridgestone companies, including Bridgestone, Goodyear, Dunlop, Firestone, Fuzion, Kelly and LeMans, in addition to Toyo, as well as Goodyear and Kelly commercial tires. The expanded footprint includes four TLCs in new markets in 2019, with openings in Ft. Myers, Columbia, Lakeville and Suffolk. In 2019, TireHub also relocated four TLCs in established markets including Austin, Knoxville, Mobile and Las Vegas to better meet and exceed the needs of customers.

Timing the Market Can Hurt Long-Term Program Performance

For dealer-owned reinsurance entities, avoiding volatility entirely can mean falling behind inflation and missing market rebounds that drive long term surplus growth.
