Vaughan Automotive, a family-operated business with Toyota dealerships in Boerne and Houston, Texas, acquired Tejas Toyota in the city of Humble, rebranding it as Space City Toyota. The move was driven by a strategic vision to expand the company’s footprint and enhance its portfolio with a well-positioned and established dealership.

"This acquisition marks a significant milestone for Vaughan Automotive," said gropu owner and CEO Shawn Vaughan. "By integrating Tejas Toyota into our family, we are poised to strengthen our presence in key markets and leverage their reputation for excellence, paving the way for substantial growth."

Tejas Toyota, with a loyal customer base, enables Vaughan Automotive to leverage operational synergies, but also presents opportunities to introduce advanced automotive solutions to a wider audience.

The dealership's new name honors Houston's heritage as a hub of innovation and exploration.

"Houston embodies a profound spirit of ingenuity, and by adopting the Space City Toyota identity, we aim to embrace and reflect this pioneering ethos,” Vaughan said. “We are excited to embark on this new chapter, delivering not only exceptional automotive experiences but also contributing to the vibrant growth of Humble and its surrounding areas.”

The Humble area is poised for significant growth, driven by steady population increases and economic development, creating a rising demand for automotive services. As Vaughan Automotive expands, it says it's committed to adapting to market changes, enhancing brand loyalty through personalized service, and contributing to sustained regional growth. It said Space City Toyota aims to build lasting community relationships beyond automotive offerings by engaging with local stakeholders and supporting initiatives for the ongoing prosperity of the area.

“Space City Toyota represents a new era for us – one filled with growth, innovation and a stronger connection with our community,” Vaughan said.
