WrenchWay and the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, or ASE, are conducting a Voice of Technician Survey. Open to automotive, diesel and collision professionals, the survey is intended to gather feedback on what’s working, what isn’t, and in which areas the industry can improve.

“We’re pleased to collaborate with WrenchWay on this survey,” said ASE President and CEO Dave Johnson. “The feedback will help show what it’s like to work or teach in the industry and identify challenges and opportunities for improvement for technicians, students, instructors and employers.”

The survey is open to technicians currently working in the industry, instructors teaching automotive, diesel or collision programs, and students enrolled in related programs. It takes about six to 10 minutes to complete. Participants who participate will be entered into a prize drawing, winners randomly selected on Dec. 12 and notified via email.

ASE and WrenchWay are also working together on the School Assist All-Star Awards, which recognize collaboration between shops, dealerships and schools to help attract students to automotive and diesel careers.

“This is our third year publishing the report, which is used by dealerships, shops, schools and OE companies,” said WrenchWay co-founder and CEO Mark Wilson.
